Too soon for 5 month old...

My 5 month old is 21lbs and at his 4 month check up, his doctor said I can feed him baby food . Seemed a bit early to me but I did it anyways since his appetite is never ending. So far, it's gone great and he is loving all the new flavors. He is even "trying" to get the spoon in his mouth all by himself. 🤣

He is now 5 months and I'm pretty sure he's teething because he wants to chew on everything (including my poor breasts). So today, I decided to give him some teething wafers. My husband said it is too soon but I did it anyway and it went great.

Do you all think it's too soon to give him teething wafers?
