Alcohol?

Question

Has anyone had a sip or two during this holiday month? What have your OBGYNs told you about when it’s ok to drink? I have a message out to mine as I forgot to ask her at my 25 week appt. just curious! Thanks!

Nope! And I work in the alcohol industry. 
What's the point? A sip doesn't make a difference to your life, but can have a huge impact on the life of your child. There is no evidence that any amount of alcohol is safe for your fetus. 
Why risk it? You have 9 months to make a perfect baby.

Havent had a lick since before my positive and wont until some point after the baby arrives. Wouldn't wanna risk anything or be irresponsible. Alcohol can wait.

Its okay to drink after you have the baby.. if you have to take a sip or 2 to get by then do what you gotta do but to me nothing is worth it. There is no family gathering, no holiday or no new kind of beer that would make me want to even take a sip. Maybe its because I know a child with fetal alcohol syndrome and it's sad to see just because someone couldn't give up an unnecessary thing during pregnancy your child suffers.

I have 3 kids and going on my 4th. My dr suggested in the last week or so of pregnancy to relax by enjoying a glass of wine. I’ve done that with a warm bath for all my pregnancies. Just one though 🤗

I sometimes have ONE sip of my husband’s beer. He buys fancy and a lot of craft beers so it’s not about alcohol, it’s about the flavor. But when I say one, I literally mean I just have one tiny sip once a month. 
I did a lot of research and that won’t harm the baby in anyway. If I was actually drinking the alcohol, yes- that would be bad.
But actually doctors sometimes suggest women have a glass of wine in their late 3rd trimester. It’s one of those topics like caffeine where research is divided. Overall- 100% avoid alcohol, but if you’re literally just getting your tongue wet- that’s not drinking alcohol. I would do a lot of research and ask your doctor and make an educated decision.

I had a sip of red wine that my sister mulled herself but that's it 🤷 everyone keeps telling me a glass of wine is safe but I'm too anxious to have more than a sip.

I am catholic and when i go to church I take a sip of the communion wine there. 
I also will take a sip of my husbands glass, literally just enough to get on my lips. I did this with my first too and he is perfect all around. This pregnancy is very healthy too.
