Yes. It's absolutely horrified, disgusting and has no place in this day and age. I did hear that there is a temp ban on it though.

yes. i think it's pretty inhumane to treat the animals so cruelly. it just sucks that despite being illegal, the government doesn't do much to enforce it. as well as uneducated people seeing that as a representation of all chinese people. a lot of the dogs are stolen pets, and there are domestic chinese rescue groups that try to save as many of the animals as possible.

Honestly, eating dog is not that weird. For me, I think it’s gross and so sad but we have BBQ festivals all over the country all the time also and we serve pigs, chickens, cows, Bison and sheep- Some animals that other countries find sacred. It’s very inhumane how they do them but our factories do the same shit behind closed doors. To each it’s own.

its funny how people are horrified by other people eating dogs, just because were used to having them as pets, but will eat a chicken and a cow with no problem and enjoy it.

Eating dog has been a thing for many many years in china and many other countries. They did it because they where hungry probably something else as well. It is seen as wrong in the US, other countries and even in some Chinese minds but it's a tradition in some familys, it's how some survive. Why shame them for that. Meat is meat. Dogs,cats, horse etc is a source of nutrition.
