When to install car seat?

Good morning everyone. I am 33 weeks pregnant and I was wondering when is it the right time to install the car seat? Should I do it now? Or is it too soon? First time mama here need all the help I can get. Thank you in advance! 😊

I installed it early so I didn’t have the headache of making sure it was installed properly when my husband or I were stressed or tired (aka when baby comes!).

we put the base in at 36 weeks because we had two (so in case we got in an accident we had a backup) but we didn’t put the car seat in until we were on the way to the hospital

There pretty quick and easy to put in but whenever your comfortable. 
If you wanna do it now, do it... it just rides around in the car with you! If your in an accident though it would have to be replaced

When baby comes! Your husband will likely go home for a bit during you stay at the hospital (my husband did). He can install the car seat then.

I plan to install mine and keep my hospital bag in my car come 34-35 weeks because i had preterm labor with my second and i live kinds far from my hospital. I didnt end up having her till 38 weeks but i want to be prepared especially cuz i have 2 little ones and i had my last baby shortly after my doctor appointment and i dont wanna have to worry about not having my stuff with me

I didn’t install my kids car seats until we were gonna bring them home. I live in northern Michigan and the snow belt part of it. We get a crap ton of snow, no one ever pays attention and there’s a lot of accidents near me, for people thinking I have 4wheel drive I can go 60 on ice and crash, or oh it’s just a bit of snow(when I rained the day before) and they crash because there is ice under the snow. All my kids were born durning winter so I never wanted to have to buy a new car seat after just buying it. But that’s just me. You can do it whenever you think is right.
