We got to see our beautiful baby girl today and the sonographer had a difficult time getting a good picture of her right hand. After completing the scan, my worst nightmare came true. The doctor came in to inform me that my little girl’s right hand did not develop, so she only has her left. As a first time mother, I am having such a difficult time coping with this because all I keep thinking about is how she will be bullied and made fun of growing up. I am extremely thankful for everything else looking good on the scan, but this caught me off guard and I have yet to stop crying. If anyone has any suggestions or groups or know anyone that has raised someone with a missing limb/hand, and might have some advice for a new mom; please help me out.
