What’s the longest it’s taken you to get over an ex?

I know people handle heartache differently, but just out of curiosity what was the longest it’s taken you to get over an ex? I’m going through it right now myself and it feels like it’s taking forever to just get over this person. I wish I didn’t think about them all the time or see their birthdays everywhere. It’s been almost half a year. I really wish I didn’t play back memories of everything. Honestly, if I had the choice to just erase them I would so I don’t have to go through the healing. I sucks like Hell and I can’t help, but to beat myself up about it because they really didn’t deserve me to begin with.
