Failed Glucose Screening

For those of you wondering how your upcoming glucose screening could go... Oh man was it horrible! I've never had a soda in my life, and my mom didn't let me eat candy growing up. I am SO NOT a sweets person!

The orange drink was awful. I don't think I've ever had that much sugar in a day, let alone 5 minutes. It took every ounce of my will power to last an hour without throwing it up. As soon as the needle was out of my arm I ran to the trash can. Not only was I shaking, nauseous, and extremely thirsty and sweating like crazy, but.... I failed! And only by a few points.

But I still have to go back and take the longer, more horrifying version! My kid is going to hear about this every day if she becomes a sassy teenager. Rant over 😫 and I hope those of you reading this pass your first test and don't have to do the 3 hour challenge...
