so when your into labor what centimeter dilated should you get your epidural so it doesn't wear out before baby is born??

It depends on what kind of epidural they offer. I had an endless one so I never had to press a button or ‘re-up’. They just turned it off before I started pushing so I could have some control over my body.

I got it at 4 before I even felt contractions. There’s a button u push that u can push that will give u more so whenever I felt anything I’d pump myself up lol. Never felt anything. Everyone is different though....

It depends on how fast you dilate. I got it when I was 6 cm and my water already broke. Although I was on Pictocin so I dilated 2 cm every hour.

There’s no magic number. I had a button I could push every 15 minutes for my epidural. I was on it for a strong 11 hours before having baby
