Choroid Plexus Cyst?! 😭 please help reassure me I’m freaking out😭

So quick history, I had to see maternal fetal medicine for my 12 week scan and my 19 week anatomy scan. My first pregnancy was completely healthy but my second pregnancy the baby had severe fetal anomalies and I lost the baby at 12 weeks.

Today I had my 19 week anatomy scan again with the high risk Maternal fetal medicine specialist. The baby looks wonderful, everything is developing nicely, arms are great, legs, heart, stomach, kidneys, back of the brain, and nasal bone. Everything was spot on.she’s at a perfect weight of 11oz and measuring right on par for 19 weeks 4 days. The tech was communicating with me along the way saying everything looked great. The doctor came in and did his own scan per protocol and said she was perfect, but he wish he didn’t have to tell me but since he is required to he found one small Choroid Plexus Cyst on her brain.

Commence panic. He did explain that a few years ago doctors weren’t even required to tell

Patients who had normal ultrasounds that they had even found this kind of cyst. He said he doesn’t effect any development of the baby. He said that they 99% of the time resolve on their own and because they don’t poss a threat developmentally there is no need for further testing. I asked 100 times if he was sure and he said if he wasn’t he would have me come back in a few weeks to check it again. But since the baby is otherwise completely healthy and my basic genetic testing came back perfect then there is no need to worry.

Well news flash doc, I’m worried. Now I’m searching and rummaging through the internet and I have scared myself into complete panic. I think a lot of it stems from losing my last baby. But I cannot stop stressing. I see my regular ob on Thursday and I’m considering begging them to scan again in a few weeks to see if it has gone away.

Please if anyone has experience with this tell me your story. I am so nervous and it’s probably dramatic but hearing the worsts cyst and brain in the same sentence really triggered me.
