Accutane?

Question

Anybody on here ever tried it? I’m starting on it next week!! I’ve heard all of the horror stories and i’m not too worried. I’m just finally ready to be acne free!!!

I was on it as an adult (last year) and it was totally worth it. Get the big tube of aquaphor healing ointment and use it for EVERYTHING lips hands knees ect any dry patch that stuff is AWESOME I kept one tube in my car, one in my bedroom, and one in my backpack (that got moved to my purse on the weekends). I still use it. Also get a really moisturising skin care routine this is all the stuff I used. Eventually I did develop eczema and also got eczema lotion but I would start using all this stuff now. You start in 11 days? That's the perfect time to start prepping your skin so it wont hit you as hard you will feel insanely moisturized for the next few days but it helps A TON if you get ahead of the dryness and aren't trying to play catch up. Also I found getting big refillable water bottles like 24oz and being like i need to drink 4 of these a day and setting that goal helped me keep on top of my water intake. If you have any questions message me I have only been off it 7 months now I actually started accutane almost exactly one year ago.

I have a friend that took it in her teen years and it worked wonders! LOTS of side effects but it was worth it. She has amazing skin now. I am jealous hahaha

I worked in Dermatology for a while and saw lots of accutane. Get some aquaphor for your lips and drink lots of water for your joints! Be honest about any mental health side effects you’re feeling but it’s a miracle drug!

I was on it on in my teen years(6 years ago) it worked wonders. Drink lots of water, start moisturizing your lips ( they will crack) it does take a little while to kick In. You won’t see immediate results depending how bad your acne is. But I’d recommend it. Btw I always waxed my eyebrows, they say not to cause your skin will fall off? But nothing ever happened to me lol. Goodluck!

you need to be really careful when using this, i don’t want to scare you, but one of my friends took this and because of the side affects, she commit suicide :,(
so be really really careful, and maybe see a doctor first or try another alternative

I don’t know much about it but what I do know is. If you get your eyebrows, lip or anywhere on your face waxed please let the person know who is waxing you that you are on it, because when I was working in a salon doing waxes some people didn’t let me know that they were on it and when I waxed them their skin would burn horribly. I unfortunately learned the hard way and from then on I always asked if they were on accutane. If they were then I normally turned them away.
