Hook effect?

I read online if you carry multiples which runs in my family that It can cause a hook effect in pregnancy which means test will come back negative because hcg is so high The tests can’t register it, I had faint positive test on 8 9 & 10 dpo and now nothing has anyone else had this?

Not for that early. I believe that’s more around 5 or 6 weeks-ish.
