Would you give up your cat to protect your baby

So I have a cat and I am trying to train her to not jump everywhere or on people. I don’t want her jumping in the crib with the baby and walk all over him. My boyfriend says we could get a kennel to put her in at night, but she still jumps on me when I tell her not to. I also don’t want her scratching the baby when I try to feed him. At this point I am thinking it’s better just to rehome her cause the baby comes first.

I just have no idea what to do besides give her up even though my boyfriend doesn’t agree.
