Maternal Pnemonia
I live with 2 of my relatives that have been sick for about a week with what was thought to be a common cold. They didn't get better and I started feeling sick as well so I took their stubborn butts to the urgent Care. Turns out they both have a pretty bad case of Pnemonia. I know the mortality rate of Pnemonia in pregnancy is fairly high especially in the third trimester (im 34 weeks) it's also highly contagious and very likely I have it. I haven't really felt super sick yet just kinda trashy but the virus can lay dormant in the body for 24 hours up to 4 weeks. I'm scared cause I know I've probably already caught it seeing as how I've been around 2 coughing, sneezing, highly contagious individuals with it and i have a compromised immune system due to my pregnancy. Im contacting my OB as soon as her office opens on Monday. Until then, any experience with this? Any advice?
