Weight?

Do you get weighed before or after you go into labor? Or just after. Trying to keep my weight personal from my bf lol. I’ve had a crazy weight gain the last couple of weeks so drs thought it could’ve been preeclampsia but it’s not looking like it so I had a big weight jump and am very upset about it. Have always been a thicker girl but now I just feel like a swollen giant lol.

I was never weighed before or after. Only reason I was always on top of my weight was because I checked my weight every night before bed. I also actually had a doctors appointment the day before I went into labor with this baby. And the only reason I know how much I lost after baby is because I came home and weighed myself out of curiosity.

I wasn’t weighed at the hospital either before or after birth. The next time I was weighed was at my 6 week follow appointment.

It’s completely normal to be self conscious during this time but try not to be hard on yourself.  You’re growing his baby and he needs to accept all things that come with that, including weight gain.  I’ve gained 50 pounds so far and I was very open with my husband about it the other day.  I told him my exact weight gain so that he can understand why I am cooking lots of healthy meals after delivery.  Don’t beat yourself up about it, I’m sure when baby is in your arms you won’t even be thinking about that!  But to answer your actual question, I have no clue because this is my first baby

I was weighed when I got to triage. Haven’t been weighed after yet, baby born yesterday

I was weighed before I went into the room to deliver and right before I was discharged. Really depends on the hospital.

I was only weighed afterwards. I weighed 189 before delivery and only went down to 174 after delivery. Prepregnancy I weighed 150. I am also concerned. I gained 20 lbs in the last month. I asked yo be checked for a medical explanation for all the rapid weight gain and everything cane back normal.
