Breastfeeding or formula??

Question

So from day one me and partner both said breastfeeding due to the unnecessary cost off formula.  Then there are times when i think formula feeding would just be easier and have second thought about breastfeeding. 
I didnt breastfeed with my 1st child so any advice or recommendations would be great??
ive bought the tommy tippie electric pump and milk storage bags. Also bought the express and go kit.

Once you get past the first month of breastfeeding it's honestly soooo easy. You don't have to worry about cleaning bottles, losing bottles and then getting yucky, having to prepare bottles late at night, so much. It's also good for sooooo many things!! Cradle cap, if your baby sratches his/herself, put it in baths, dry skin... it's seriously liquid GOLD. Also, if you get a hakkaa you can collect quite a bit of milk while you're feeding baby and work up a storage that way. I would watch some informational videos/read on benefits of breastfeeding. I breastfed for a year and loved it! So easy when baby wakes up and all you gotta do is pull a boob out.

I never breastfed my first. Used formula the whole time and it was definitely nice to let my husband take some night shifts to help feed her. It’s definitely expensive but if you sign up on their websites they send coupons!

I tried to breastfeed my first, she wouldn't latch though. I tried nipple shields, pumping and bottle feeding that way and even hand expressing for her. It was HORRIBLE. Worst experience of my life, I tried for a month before I switched to straight bottle and formula. She was a much happier baby after that. 
It is taking a lot in me to try and breastfeed again, I'm going to give it a shot but if it doesn't work out I honestly won't be mad.. formula feeding is a lot easier and a lot more convenient lol.

In conjunction, just wanted to also say that if it doesn't work for you than yes go with formula. It could work better for you, but I'm my experience it's a lot easier to not have to get up and make a bottle, probably heat it, all those extra steps. Just feed baby and back to bed, and the hakka makes collecting milk so your significant other or whoever else wants to feed baby do that when you want. Also, in my experience I breastfed my son for a year and had absolutely no issue weaning him. He went straight to a few bottles of almond milk a day. 🙂

So i tried to breastfeed my first. Her latch was so painful and my hospital offered no lacation consultants (which their website clearly says they have 😒🙄). The nurses were zero help-they expected me to know what i was doing and refused to let me supplement when i realized she didnt get enough milk. She actually gave me a snarky remark about how they feel about bottle feeding. Went home and was in tears trying to feed her. Went to the pediatrician next day and he sent us to childrens hospital for jaundice because she was orange like bright orange with a bottle of formula-because most normal doctors agree supplementing is fine if baby needs it. 
Childrens hospital ended up putting her on fluids and under triple light therapy for 24 hours. We couldnt feed or hold her. I cried the whole night and decided to never nipple feed again. They said her jaundice was so bad because she was dehydrated.. A very nice nurse practioner came in and helped me pump for her. We pumped and supplemented with formula and kept diligent track of the oz. I was so scarred from this that i never tried to feed from the breast again- i pumped for 3 weeks. 
I swore id never breastfeed again.. well im pregnant again and all the motherly instincts are telling me to give it a shot. So i plan on breastfeeding but i will be supplementing if i feel she needs it. I will not go through having another baby in the nicu because the baby friendly hospital i delivered at refused to give me formula. I know alot more about breastfeeding than i did with my first- i read more this time and researched more and i have a tiny bit of experience.

I plan to try breastfeeding, but if it doesn’t work I’m not opposed to formula. I’m a ftm, and have the same thought on financial aspect and hoping breastfeeding will help with the baby weight too

Thanks everyone my midwife said once you get the latch right then it should be all  go from there. Im seeing her again tomorrow so will ask about classes and more information. Its weird because one minute im 1000% sure then next im seconded guessing!🤦‍♀️ i am leaking alot through out the night aswell even when i have the pads on to the point where i have to change the bedding! Im due in less then 4 weeks so i need to make a decision soon🤯👶🏼

Breastfeeding is way easier than formula, you feed on demand, you dont have to measure out how much they should get, u dont need bottles, you dont need to mix up the formula or sterilize bottles, it's free, I never even used the pump that I got.🤷‍♀️

I’m going to try to exclusively breast feed until 6-8 weeks and then pump as I’m going to try and work but we still want the breast milk. But nothing’s set in stone and I’m not pressuring me or the baby on anything except getting him fed
