Any 2nd time moms?

I’m scheduled for a csection Thursday due to baby #2 being breach.  The closer we get the more terrified I am.... I’m not ready for my only baby to not be the only baby any more!  Plus the added stress of not having the birth I want (for our final... no more babies after this one) and I’m scared the additional healing from surgery will take even more away from my toddler.  I’m just feeling a bit of regret and I’m not sure if this is normal.  I know once baby is here in my arms and all this stress is behind me I’ll be thrilled to have two beautiful babies. How do you cope with becoming a mom of 2?

I had my baby on Friday and my daughters are exactly 2years and 2 days apart. Since I found out I was pregnancy I felt bad because I wanted to have at least 3 years with my toddler to just be us. I was still unsure up until I had our baby. I was worried my toddler would feel replaced or I wouldn’t have time to give her the attention I want to give her. But I guess I kind of forgot that newborns sleep A LOT so it’s pretty easy right now to put the baby down while I play with my toddler. I also try to include her in as much as I can, handing me things, trashing diapers, kissing baby good night, just anything that makes her feel included. So far my toddler is absolutely in love with “her baby” she loves to be around her and if anything is jealous that she can’t hold her all the time 😂 I felt so worried about the future of having 2 kids but it all has been going so great. I’m not saying there won’t be some rough days ahead of us but this transition has been a lot smoother than I ever expected and so my advice is to just engulf your baby with all the love and attention you can and when your new baby comes it’ll all work out in the end. i hope the best for your and your growing family ❤️

So I wasn’t having a c-section at all with my second but I definitely had all these fears still. I felt regret for sure because our son is such a mommas boy and he was my world. I started thinking that maybe we made the wrong choice having another. I had our daughter on Tuesday so tomorrow will be a week that she’s here. It’s definitely been hard. Not hard loving two babies. It’s an absolute blessing and joy having two now. And just when you think you can’t love another like your first, you find a way too. Our son is 2.5 so he’s currently in his terrible 2’s which is making things a little more difficult. It’s hard balancing making him feel special still but also having to punish him for not listening. We do everything we can though to remind him how much we love him and when our daughter is sleeping I try to do things with him. For example, today I sat on the floor playing cars with him and then we made cookies. It’s just simple little things like that, that will help remind them that you didn’t forget about them. I actually thought my son would be very jealous of the new addition but he adores her. He loves to help with her and hold her. And that itself is the best feeling in the world. Life is definitely different having another baby but we will figure it out. It just takes some time. Getting into a routine is all it’ll take.

Can’t offer any advice since I am currently awaiting the arrival of our second any day now, but I can relate to some of what you’re going through. 
I’m sad about my son no longer being an only child - and how they take so much focus and now there will be TWO of them! My son is used to having two parents for every bath and bedtime tuck in... and I’m just worried it’s going to change so much for him 😕
I remember at the end of my first pregnancy, I was just so eager to have him out and in my arms! And this time around, even though I am physically uncomfortable, I don’t want her to come early because I feel like I’m just not mentally ready!! 
I’m sorry you have to have a c-section - but hopefully your partner or family will be around/close by to lend extra help for the older one while you heal physically 💕
