Q for Americans: Is this considered blackface/offensive to you?

So this is a pic from Brussels, from a festival for Santa. This is supposed to be and has been for years Krampus, the devil. The government is considering retiring the Krampus figure because of blackface claims.

I am East european, unless you live in the capital city, you rarely see black people. (For context, I first saw a black person at 16 when I visited the capital city.) People in my country don't understant why blackface is bad. And I am curious what Americans think where half of the population is people of color. Is this offensive to you?

My opinion: I think its awful and offensive af, and should be banned. Krampus could dress up in all red or paint their face red if they wanted to keep it🤷‍♀️
