Anyone familiar with NJ Maternity leave ?

I am trying to figure out maternity leave in NJ. Everyone is giving me different answers and I just want some clarity. Is anyone familiar at all with this?? Thank you!

N.J. just changed it for 2020 so you can take 12 weeks unpaid under the NJFLA or FMLA depending on company size 
And then come back on a reduced schedule without employee consent with no retaliation 
And they’re changing the pay to up to 12 weeks, 85% of your income starting July 1, 2020
I just can’t figure out if I’ll be getting the 6 weeks first (I’m due mid-May of course) & then do I reapply for the next 6 weeks when the law becomes effective? 
I emailed the state so maybe I’ll get an answer by May!

Im pretty sure its the same for all states. 4 weeks before you deliver and 6-8 weeks after you deliver. Your employer would be the best to ask for exact details

It’s typically company specific, not state specific. Like I work for a small company less than 50 employees and therefore they don’t have to follow FMLA guidelines. I begged for 8 weeks maternity leave (instead of the 6 they were offering). They gave it to me but it was all unpaid

Also from NJ and trying to figure it out. Im Pretty sure we can get up to 4 weeks before due date and 12 weeks after but it’s 2 different things to apply for (fmla, fli) I was also told i should use my sick time If I roll any Over for 2019 because they will force you to use it for the 4 weeks before due date.
