Starting juice?

My daughter just turned 6 months old on the 20th. Has anyone started their child on juice or given them water? Also, if you have given your baby juice, do you add some water to water it down a little?

Water yes.  Juice no. It’s just empty calories ... all sugar.

Didn't give my eldest juice until he was 2 & potty training, even then it was massivly watered down. He would drink it all fast then sit on potty. Babies this young dont need juice.

Neither yet, but we’ll be starting water soon. We still don’t give juice to our 2 year so she’s never wanted it. I do know if you give juice you’re supposed to water it down

No juice before like 2 years!!! Read the AAP guidelines. There is no reason for them to have it at all.

I've given her very very weak cordial per health visitors suggestions, as she really wants her drinking water with meals But my daughter isn't interested at all.

I think i gave my first juice because my MIL was doing it anyways at 1 years old, but i did a 1 part water to .75 juice. 
My son is 3 and his juice is still a 1:1 mix with water.

Yes and we only did juice when she was constipated to help her poop. We did 1 oz juice 1 oz way we and only let her drink 1
Oz.

We have done pear juice for his constipation. But it’s only 3oz  1 or 2 times a week. We give him water with his purées

My lo has water when his eating solids in a sip cup no problems his been drinking it for about 2 months

Water's fine! (Tap water is fine where we are) But babies don't need juice. It's better to give them fruit! There's too much sugar in juice and could damage their little teeth (not to mention the dietary effects of so much sugar). If you really want to give juice, I think it should be watered down with 9 parts water (so 1:10 ratio).
