Is my 12 month old sleeping too much?

Question

So I have 12 month old twin boys and they have been sleeping SO MUCH recently! I didn't really think about it being an issue until my husband pointed it out. So they go to be at 7 P.M and wake up at 10 A.M then they sleep for 2 hours during the day. So that's like 17 hours between night and day?! I don't know if I should be concerned or if they're just growing, but it seems like they're sleeping too much! Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated as I am a FTM.

I don't think so. I never wake my kids up, unless we have to be somewhere.
I view sleeping as a necessity. If they're sleeping lots, then they needed to sleep.  Either growing or teething, or getting sick, there's a reason for it. And extra sleep is never bad.
My son (1.5) slept from 7:30 or 8 until 12:45 one day. I was kinda worried about him, kept checking on him, but he just needed that good long sleep.

I asked my sons doctor a similar thing one time and she laughed and said “sorry, I always laugh when parents say that because they’re worried that they are actually getting rest. He’s growing and sleep is good!” Lol I love his doctor, she didn’t mean it rudely. But it’s definitely something I’ve come back to many times when he going through a growth spurt.

It could just be down to a growth spurt, I've noticed my 14 month old daughter has started sleeping 13hrs+ at night where as she only used to sleep 10hrs max. 
She's been non stop running around the house like crazy during the day so I'm guessing she needs the extra sleep.

It really is normal! It’s a growth spurt type of deal and when they hit that we don’t wanna sleep you guys will miss these days lol
