Ferritin VS. Iron 💉 Am I Anemic?

My doctor ordered a blood screening to check for anemia on Monday. I just reviewed my results through the lab’s app and I think I might be anemic or at least iron deficient? Below are the results that indicate I failed with the normal levels in parentheses and my results to the right:

RBC Count (3.8-5.1): 3.64

Hemoglobin (11.7-15.5): 9.9

Hematocrit (35-45): 30.1

Ferritin (16-154): 4

There is no specific “iron” level, but it sounds like ferritin basically correlates to iron, maybe? If so, 4 sounds pretty low.

My OB is closed for the rest of the week so I thought I would see if anyone here has had similar results and if so, how you were treated. I’ve felt terrible for a couple of weeks and if I just need to take an iron supplement I’d like to start doing that so I can feel better ASAP!
