Clomid -monitoring needed?

I have been on clomid twice for previous pregnancies and got pregnant after several rounds. (1 year and 2 years the second time off and on) it’s been 5 years since I’ve been pregnant and currently been trying for 3 and nothing.😞 I’ve had one positive opk in the last 6 months. I was thinking of contacting my fertility dr that I used with my girls but was wondering if anyone knows if I need monitoring (ultrasounds) or could I do the pills and no ultrasounds ? I am paying out of pocket currently that’s why I ask. I did have multiple ultrasounds the other times. I had no issues with overstimulation or anything else the previous times. I will obviously ask them when I call or have a consult I was just wondering if anyone has done this without needing so much monitoring? Thanks!
