Is it to early to know if i got pink eye

So I got some eye makeup from my sister and some of it was not used but I’m afraid she used some mascara she gave me and after I put it on I got nervous that she might of used it. But, I still had it on all day because I was running late to a Christmas thing and didn’t have time to take it all off and start from scratch.

Ever sense I took it off I feel like there is something in my eye like an eye lash but I’m not sure I checked it. My eye doesn’t seem to be red yet but I want to know if you would immediately feel the symptoms of pink eye or not? Sorry for the long post. Thanks to anyone who knows about this
