My two week old

Do I need to always burp my two week old? She started to become more fussy and takes forever for her to nap so when she does fall asleep during a feeding if I burp her she'll most likely stay wake and give us a hard time but I will burp her next feeding if I do miss a burp sesh , she also burps her self at times as she'll just burp on her own but just curious is it ok to always skip a burp sesh after feeding and wait till next?
