Does anyone else use a car seat that is not to come out of car? Do you like it?

Mother and father in law bought us a safety 1st car seat that doesn’t come in and out of car. Which mean baby will have to be pick up every time.

I was blessed twins, while they were small we used the kind that you can take in and out. With the bases that click in
* My boys are very much like their father and don't like to be woken from naps... Lol cranky pants*
But when they got big enough/ walking we switched to the stationary kind. Mostly because of safety reviews, and they typically only ride in one of our two vehicles. 
Big con- switching these lrg heavy seats between two cars.

Does anyone else use a car seat that is not to come out of car? Do you like it?
