After surgery body

So the first picture is from before my laparoscopic appendectomy (appendix surgery) and the second is after. I know it’s not a life changing change but my belly button is so different and deformed looking and it has really been messing with my self esteem.

I’m not sure exactly why I am posting about it, but when I talk to my boyfriend and family about it they don’t quite understand why it’s upsetting my mental health. I have had troubles with anorexia in the past and I’m just afraid the change in my belly’s appearance is triggering old ways and thoughts.

I’m glad I have a platform I am comfortable enough to share this on.
