C-section ladies.. when are you trying again?

Ladies, my birth plan went right out the window and I ended up with an emergency c-section.. I'm interested to know when y'all gonna try again for the next babe. I've been told to wait anywhere from 6-24 months before trying again.
Also - have any mamas had multiple c-sections? How did you find it?

Yup birth plan went out the window. FTM and went through it all (normal labor, induction, and then emergency csection). But we wanna try again around next summer or winter. I have 1 year mat leave (i live in canada) and need to go back to work for enough hours to have another fully paid mat leave benefit.

Depends on the type of csection you had. If you had a modern csection (horizontal incision along your pubic bone) there are A LOT less risks having a baby sooner than if you had a classical csection (vertical incision from above your belly button down to your pubic bone). It is extremely dangerous if you’ve had a classical incision to get pregnant under 2-3years post. You also must NEVER go into labour if you’ve had a classical, so a repeat csection, usually preterm, is a must. A lot of modern csections are repeats if you’re under 18months to 2years since your last. But you can at least try for a VBAC if you meet your OBs criteria for one.

I had my baby on 10/03/2019 and want to start trying again by October 2020. I will have an elective repeat c-section because I will not put my body through a potentially horrific labor like this one was. My OB prettt much said, we will simply schedule a c-section next time.

I was told wait 18-24 months to get pregnant for your best chance at a VBAC

I was 2 days past my due date and went through 36 hours of labor, 12 of which was on pitocin, just to get stuck at 8cm and have her turn face up. So I had to get an emergency c-section. My doctor didn’t really give me a timeframe as to how long I have to wait to get pregnant again. But, we are going to start trying for baby #2 in November 2020, so I’ll be 13 months postpartum at that point. He also said his office is a big proponent of VBACs so I can try to see if I’m a good candidate at that point or I can choose to have another c-section.

I was told that if i have anither baby anywhere within the first 18months itll have to be by csection. 
My emergency csection was horrible. Epidural didnt take and i felt everything!
While i would dearly love another baby im not sure i can do it again..
However... i think ill always have baby fever!!!! Lol

I just had a c-section with our son and it was my second one. Our boys are 3 years apart. I couldn’t imagine having them too close together for multiple reasons, but your body went through soooo much regardless of c-section or vaginal and it just needs time to heal. 
I never experience labor or anything with either boy but I had great experiences with both c-sections and recovered exceptionally well and while our family is complete, IF I had another one I can’t imagine not having a c-section lol.
