Pain pills during first trimester?

I just found out I am pregnant (about 3 weeks along now), and the cramps are killing me with this adjustment. I can't find anything online that says pain pills that are okay in the first trimester without Doctor consultation first. Any of you know something that's safe that I can take so I get a nights rest?

Tylenol is the only thing my docs have ever told me to I could take. I personally don't take anything for pain, colds, or discomfort. Hope you feel better.

Please don't take anything besides Tylenol without talking to your doc. One if the responses to your question was very inaccurate. Ibuprofen is not safe in pregnancy.

The only approved med is Tylenol. The cramping sucks try using a heating pad on low. The cramps will go away soon it's just your uterus stretching and growing

My Dr. said ibuprofen was safe in the first trimester, then tylenol for 3nd-3rd. Ibuprofen is my preferred med for cramps. Hope you can find relief!

Please don't take anything. If something happens to your child you'll have to live with it for the rest of your life knowing you caused it to happen.

Tylenol . I'm nervous to take anything. I picked up some infant Tylenol in case anything gets really bad or I get a fever for whatever reason but have yet to use it.
