Is Tamiflu safe while pregnant? I’m in my third trimester (32weeks)

For those who used it, was the baby ok? I got the flu from my husband and ended up spending one night at the hospital due to having temperature and severe cough. They prescribed me Tamiflu. Do you guys think this medication is safe?

I would trust my doctors over strangers on the internet. They wouldn’t prescribe it if a) it wasn’t safe, and b) you didn’t need it. If you have the flu, you need the medication.

No, it’s banned in other countries for a reason. Horrible side effects. Would not even take it not pregnant!

In my experience, my whole family of 6 had the flu and we all took tamiflu and had the absolute worst side effects from it. Way worse than what the flu symptoms were I would never ever take it again. And it only shortens the flu by a day and thats only a possibility it doesnt always work. My 3yr old had the flu again this year and she only had a fever for 2days, I just let her body do its thing. I would never bother with that drug again. Also her pediatrician recommended it again but she also broke down the risks. Its not a cure and it doesnt make you feel better, all it may or may not do is take 1 day off. Not worth it in my opinion.

Just read a few things online, all say it’s safe. If you are still showing signs of the flu after being hospitalized, definitely let your doctor know. Did you get the flu shot?

I took it at 34 weeks and had zero side effects. I honestly was so happy I could take it, last time I had the flu I couldn't take Tamiflu (it was too late) and it lasted over two weeks and I relapsed for an additional week. This time I was sick for maybe 4-5 days other than a pesky cough that won't go away.
