How long do I have to wait to take a bath after labor?

Question

It’s been 4 weeks and 6 days and I had an episiotomy and 3rd degree tearing and dissolvable stitches but I’m pretty sure my stitches are healed and I have no pain and haven’t been bleeding for two weeks 
So is it safe for me to take a bath now? I know they say to wait til 6 weeks but I wanna soak and relax ...

I never had quite that much in the way of tearing or stitches but after each delivery I was told sitting in a warm bath is helpful to recovery.  (And actually got chided by my doc when I didn’t after my first delivery.  I had some skin heal together in a way it shouldn’t have and I needed her to fix that.  She asked if I had been sitting in a warm bath to help it heal and I said no and she said why not?!) I wouldn’t use any soaps or bath salts but I never had any bath restrictions after delivery.
