Ttc #2 on Metformin and Provera?

I have one healthy beautiful 2 and 1/2  year old little girl that I had completely naturally with no help. It took us 2 years to have her and I am really hoping we don't have to wait that long this time. My doctor has started me on 1000mg of Metformin daily. I do not ovulate nor get my period. My last period was 2 years ago. Provera is what I used to induce my period before and so far with 3 weeks of Metformin I feel no different, no period no ovualtion. What should I do?

Metformin helps with your insulin/sugar levels, and helps regulate you but it needs some time to work.

I started at 1000mg then was upped to 2000mg at my 6wk appointment.

I've been on it for 2.5mths now and I don't crave any sugar anymore. I'm also finding it easier to lose weight but my issue is that I've also still missed 2 months of periods. I have a check up in 2 weeks so if I don't get my period by then I will be getting provera.

We're still trying to conceive #1 so it's been pretty hard and at times I feel impatient because it just doesn't feel like it's working but the Dr told me (and I've read on google) that some women quickly fall pregnant on it after a couple months or it can take 4-6mths to help regulate. It also just depends on how well your body takes to it.
