Baby not interested in food

Anyone else having this problem? My soon to be 7 month old wants nothing to do with food, breastmilk only. I tried making purees on my own & store bought ones & he hated it. So i tried baby led weaning he does seem to enjoy that more. Where when i gave him pureed sweet potato he didn't want it & them when i gave him a finger size portion he actually ate some of it. He really enjoyed avocado, but so far that's been it. For the most part he'll either throw it or just play with the food. His doctor told me yesterday he should have already taken an interest in food already & should be eating whenever i eat. He seemed to be against baby led weaning & recommended i give him 2 different spoons with puree on it & just let him figure it out like that. Im just like am i doing something wrong for my baby to not want to eat solids? :/
