Tea tree oil while pregnant?

So I've had recurring BV in the past and I used tea tree oil in the bathtub for five days and haven't had it for months. But I think it might have came back. I am only 8 weeks so I don't wanna go to the OB cause I know theyll just prescribe me w medicine that I don't wanna take. Does anyone know if it's safe to use the tea tree oil in the bath water while I'm pregnant!?
