Toddler having myoclonic seizures?

FTM here. My 17 month old son has had a fever that we’ve been bringing down with Tylenol. Just a bit ago, he woke up screaming and standing in his crib, and when I went and got him, he’d have these random, sudden, short, involuntary jerks. Almost like a huge hiccup or like something scared him. He stayed conscious but was very upset each time and I had to calm him down. They’d happen once every minute or so for probably 5 mins. Now he’s fine.
Trying not to freak out here. Anyone have experience with this?

UPDATE:
We talked to several nurses, all who said the 104 temp is a problem *if* he doesn’t respond to Tylenol, but as long as the tylenol is working and bringing it down, it’s fine. And obviously we’re not going at or above the maximum doses within 24 hours.
One nurse also confirmed that what he experienced were, in fact, febrile myoclonic seizures, and they’re actually not uncommon. Doesn’t mean he has epilepsy or that it’ll happen again. She said that as long as it doesn’t happen again or become a pattern, and since he’s acting fine today (no fever, no seizures, and being his normal, playful self) we can chalk it up to probably a one time thing.

His temp is very high and you should always get medical attention after a seizure. I’d take him to the ER.

no experience but when I doubt, see a doctor. Also, have you been alternating between Tylenol and Motrin? For some reason it helps more with the fever
