Is it OK for your SO's mother to come live with you guys?

You guys are in your 20's..1st apartment together..shes not having any financial problems but she's never had her own place because she chose not to.

I would let my MIL stay with me if she needed a temporary place to live til she got her own but sounds like his mom doesn't have any reason besides not wanting to live alone. Doesn't sound temporary either. In old age yes I would take care of MIL but doesn't sound like there's a reason for it. Hard to say. Depends on how she is. If she will b all up in ur business or make ur relationship difficult. I just don't like living with people. Esp if it's permanent. If u let her what happens if it all goes to hell. Cud u just tell her it is time to go? Hard situation prob better to just say no she is going to have to live alone eventually as she can't just live with her kid forever and as a parent we all know one day they will up n leave the nest.

I love my mil she cooks she cleans she entertains our kids. Sure she could live with us anytime. Oh and she falls asleep really early and really quick 😜

Hell no! My husband and I just did that and it was HORRIBLE (it only lasted 3 months)! Beyond glad to have our own place again.

If she were having financial or health problems, then absolutely. But other than that? No.

My mother-in-law lived with us for about a year and I absolutely loved having her here.

My mother in law would never ask unless there were a problem where she really needed to move in. Divorce, hardship, etc.
