Anyone else get super emotional, when hearing their newborn cry?

First time mom here!
I just had my little boy 12/24, he's 1 week old now. And I am so emotional when he cries. Whether it's during his shots, changing his diaper, even when he's just plain fussy I start silently crying. Anyone else in postpartum dealing with this?
It also usually happens when he's really worked up and crying loudly. I hear it and then I immediately tear up. These hormones are nuts! I'm a walking waterfall lol.

Yes! I was like this with my daughter! I’m sure its just from all the hormones after having a baby. But I was the same exact way. I’m hoping I’m not like that with my second too 😅

Yes, I do. Because I remember hearing the sound of my son that was born not breathing. The silence of an operating room with a baby and no screaming newborn is the most defining, loudest silence anyone can experience. After 15mins of pure silence, he was resuscitated or pumped for air. I then here the finest smallest preemie cry that was hard to hear even in the silence. When I had my second child, I remember saying “is he crying!!” I want to hear it , is he crying!!. Once he started , crying my ears wanted more to the point I stared in amazement he was crying, and I was seeing him actually cry. This is my experience but to answer your question I guess it depends on hormones, if you ever experienced a traumatic event, and how hard it took to conceive. All the things just mentioned I would assume would play a huge role on everyone’s responses to their baby’s first cry.
