I have been married for year we got married after 4 months of know one another. My husband is ready to start having children I am not. We are 33 and 34, we have the means to be able to adequately provide and love a child but I think he has no idea what full time parenting looks like. I would like to enjoy our marriage a lot more and maybe start trying next year... Am I being selfish? It's probably worth mentioning we are from different cultures and based on his culture we should be pregnant yesterday. I was raised to have a solid relationnship before you start a family. We had pregnancy scare and I freaked out and had a epiphany that our relationship wasn't ready but he got excited immediately.

Any advice would be helpful.
