Sooo, my boyfriend and I have been dating for about a year and started living together about 5 months ago. Our apartment is messy more often than I’d like (read: boyfriend doesn’t clean up after himself in a timely manner that I would like lol) but we both work from home and work a LOT 12+ hours quite often so cleaning does take a bit to get to. Anyhow, my boyfriend has a beautiful pitbull puppy staying at his parent’s house that he’s mentioned wanting to bring here before. She’s so cute, but huge haha. I haven’t officially met her but I tend to love dogs and constantly think about telling him we should just bring her here. I’m afraid it will come with unexpected consequences though like a messier apartment or more responsibility than I’m ready for with the commitment of walking her in our crazy big city downtown neighborhood. But maybe I’d get over this bc I’ll love her lol. Also, I have only had birds as pets before as my parents wouldn’t allow me to have other pets, so I dont know what it’s like fully. I’ve lived with a dog before with a roommate and loved him, but he was small. I’ve always wanted a dog, but I want to make sure I’m prepared for her sake and the sake of our relationship. Any thoughts?
