HPV advice

I just got diagnosed with abnormal cels from a pap and that I’m positive with HPV and have to go back for a follow up appointment. I don’t know how to tell my boyfriend and I’m scared me or him will eventually get Genital warts from it and the complications with having children in the future. Someone who has it or knows more about it please give me tips on how to tell him and more about the virus itself?
