Would you have a baby shower if it’s more stress than anything?

We would have to have 2 separate showers because it’s basically the Capulets and Montagues. I don’t want to deal with it and I’m thinking of just not having a shower. I’m pregnant with twins and this will be my first babies. ￼

If you don’t have a shower still make a registry as most give you a completion coupon! And people who want to buy you things have an idea of what you really need/want. I had separate showers for my first, and my mil and mom are wanting to do a joint this time around. Not necessarily the Capulets and Montagues, but more like apples and oranges. I’d honestly rather them give us the money for diapers and stuff we need/want for this baby instead.

Having separate showers is pretty common so if that’s the only reason I wouldn’t stress and just see if someone else on each side can host. I wouldn’t host my own because of the work/stress but it’s a fun way to celebrate and get some stuff you need as a FTM.

I had separate showers for my side and my husband’s side simply due to location and numbers. Also because I wasn’t the host. My SIL hosted one for us (co-ed) and my high school friend hosted another.
