Does your baby wear shoes in the house?

Asking bc my MIL is driving me nuts saying my baby needs to be wearing shoes in the house. She is walking and does better without shoes. We always put shoes on when we leave the house. She is 11 months old btw.

Barefoot is better.

Scientifically proven that barefoot helps them to learn how to walk better.

Nobody wears shoes in our house, especially the baby. Barefoot is much better for someone learning to walk!

I don’t put my baby in shoes in the house but it’s good for them to wear them often so they can learn to walk in them properly my baby is 9 months old and walking just fine with and without shoes

9 months! Wow🤭 That’s a tiny little thing to be strutting about! ☺️

My son had to have PT for walking and they recommend babies are barefoot when in a safe place (like home) so they can really feel the floor. Helps them learn how to walk properly.

Letting babies walk in the house without shoes will strengthen their foot muscles. I’m a physical therapist assistant and we do this training to improve form and sequencing.

My son was in physical therapy and they told us that he should be barefoot whenever he's in the house.

He wears shoes for like 5 minutes 15 times a day lol 😂🤦🏻‍♀️. He has about 4 pair (crocs & tennis shoes) and he brings them to us throughout the day to put on & then within 5 minutes wants us to take them off again. If we’re going out though, especially if it’s cold, we started putting shoes in him at about 17 months.
