Must haves & surprise gender

What are some must haves that you wish you used for your kids? I’m on baby #3 and I’m trying to make a list of things I want to try for this baby!

Also, how did you prepare for baby if you did a surprise gender?😊

I’m having a gender surprise. We don’t really need much though so just buying gender neutral clothes. I love baby carriers. And I bought a better cosleepjng basket thing. Gonna try that instead of using absolutely nothing this time. This is baby #2 for us

I bought just essentials, recieving blankets, tons of onesies and sleepers in yellow and green and brown and white, a pump, a couple blankets, I cloth diapered so about 10 newborn cloth and about 20 one size cloth, a couple bottles just in case. Stroller, carseat, and that was it.Oh, soap and washcloths and hygiene stuff too. I never used any swing or bouncy seats with #3. Just tummy time on a blanket with us and siblings for entertainment. We bathed in the sink until she could go in the tub, so we didnt use any special bath either. I felt like I bought so much stuff for my first two that we never really used, I really minimized last time and will again with this one!

We had a gender surprise and just stuck to the essentials. We really did not go crazy with clothes- maybe 10 outfits altogether (white, grey, green, yellow). We focused on everyday things: onesies, bath stuff, bouncer, carriers, nursery furniture, etc. It prevented us from going crazy, which, in addition to the excitement, was an added bonus. We didn’t want to waste money.

We were “Team Green” with my first baby. We did a gender neutral nursery (Harry Potter) and gender neutral clothes, accessories, and baby gear. Greys, greens, teals, yellows, whites, etc. Thankful we did that Bc I just found out I’m growing baby #2 and we don’t have to really buy any thing! 🙌🏻
