Getting induced at 38 weeks

I’m currently 31w 3 days with our first baby, I had a doctors app 3 days ago at exactly 31w and babys measuring 4w ahead!!! I’m being seen by a specialist and my OB they both told me I’m being induced at 38 weeks because I have hypertension also they said my baby is measuring really big!! They also brought up the possibility of having a c section :/ which I’m really hoping it does not come down to that! Has anyone had a similar experience ? Have you been told you’re getting induced but went into labor on your own ??? I’m just a little nervous since it’s my first baby!!!!
