High BP & C Section?

So I have had hypertension for years and been on a small dose med to regulate. Since being pregnant it has been a struggle to regulate. I am on labetalol and procardia. Going to be seeing my OB & Perinatologist the entire pregnancy it looks like. As far as we can tell baby is fine. Doc said she likely won't let me go past 38 weeks. This is my first and I really want a vaginal birth as I would like to have around 4 kids total and c section would not allow for me to do that. Anyone not go past 38 weeks and doc still allow vaginal birth despite high bp issues.
