How many mamas had to have a CS because baby was stuck in cervix?

I’m seeing a lot of stories of mamas having csections because baby’s head wont fit through the cervix or something similar. I dealt with the same thing and I would like to hear others experiences!

I was induced a week late, fully dialated, wouldn’t say he was stuck, but he wasn’t moving down. Ended up with a csection 36 hours after I was induced, after 5 hours of pushing.

I had to have a c-section because my baby was stuck in my pelvis - it was too small and narrow, but my cervix was fine. I was fully dilated and everything. Pushed for 4 hours. But it's just the way my pelvis was shaped it got my daughter stuck and I actually caused a pretty big wound on the back of her head. 😢

I had a c section because my son would not clear my pubic bone. My pelvis was too narrow. Interestingly enough my mom had a c section for me for the exact same reason.

That was one of the reasons for me. My birth was hell, but I’m grateful for my son and I’d do it all over again for him despite the trauma. I was induced at 39w due to gestational diabetes. I could’ve went full term and delivered a normal, healthy sized baby, knowing what I do now (Alexander was born 8lb 6oz at 39+1). But that’s neither here nor there at this point and I was scared of the risks associated with GD so I said yes to the induction without hesitation. 18 hours, 12 of which I was in labor, and then c-section. 2 rounds of oral misoprostol was given to soften my cervix/dilate around midnight, but didn’t work. Pitocin was administered in the morning- labor began, but dilation didn’t. Foley balloon worked to dilate pretty quickly, but was really painful and awkward. Was given an epidural and then obgyn broke my waters at 5-6cm. He was going into distress if I was on my left side, so I stayed on my right. Began having insane back labor at 7-8cm and even with an epidural I was in horrible pain and had strong contractions every minute. Couldn’t breathe or talk through them so I thought for sure he was going to come soon (vaginally). I even told my husband to go take a shower ASAP because it felt like it was finally progressing. However, my son was not coming down the birth canal and he was going into major distress no matter which position I was in. My nurse and obgyn even positioned me on all fours and propped me against the hospital bed for support (since I was numb from the epidural). It was headed towards an emergency c-section so I asked for one before it got to that point. It was the only part of my birth that I felt in control, so I was really happy I asked instead of waiting until I didn’t have control. My poor husband came out of the shower and was shocked to see a group of people in the room, telling him to pack our things and change into what he wore in the OR because it was time for a c-section, haha. Ultimately, it was the combination of my body just not being ready, Alexander not coming down, and the pitocin. His head was also in a strange position, which could’ve caused him to die (found this out later) so the c-section absolutely saved my baby’s life. I will never, ever opt for induction again and I can’t believe there are women who do it electively without medical reasons. Granted, I know everyone has a different experience, but it’s a flip of a coin and if you’re on the failed end of it, it’s pure hell. I am 100% scheduling a c-section for my next baby because even though I had a hemorrhage post c-section and thought I was literally dying, it was honestly the least stressful part of my birth in some ways. I’m not even going to attempt a VBAC for many reasons.

Me. I got induced the day before my due date as I was having contractions every 4-5mins but was only dilated to 1.5cm. My dr predicted I was having an 8lb + baby (I’m only 5’0” pretty petite) so she suggested induction. I progressed to a 6 after the foley and pitocin. They broke my water but my son’s heart rate kept dropping and they had to put amniotic fluid back in. I stayed at a 6 for over 14 hours and was showing no signs of progress and since they broke my water, I had a c section the next morning in my due date. I’d very much like to attempt a VBAC if we have a second child but my mom also had a c section after going into labor with me due to my size and if my next child is close to my first kid’s size... 🤷🏽‍♀️
