I got the copper iud on December 16th and I’m supposed to start my period in 5 days however I had light cramping the pass two days. Since the insertion I had spotting for about a 5 days after and now I only spot if I have sex but the spotting has been very light. However it’s been a few days since I’ve had sex and the spotting today seemed a bit more than normal but the blood is a little too pink so I’m not sure if it’s my period. I’m assuming it is the start of it and it will get heavy tomorrow but as of right now the cramps are getting a lot worse. I’ve taken ibuprofen to help. I was hoping to hear other women’s experience with their first period after the copper iud. I know it’s supposed to get heavier and more cramps so if anyone wants to share their experience and any tips that helped them that would be great :)
