He brings up his ex

My boyfriend (we just started being exclusive two weeks ago) was in a five year relationship a year ago— he brings her up sometimes not like in a “wow I miss her” type but just like he will show me pictures of his dog when she was a puppy on his ex’s Instagram, or he will bring her name up with his roommate like “oh that’s darla’s” (fake name for the sake of the post)

Is this something I should ask him to stop doing?
