Which experience was more challenging. Vag Birth or C-Section?

To ladies who have experienced both. Which one was harder? Including recovery.

A C-section is a major surgery with more possible complications than a vaginal.
I would 1,000,000,000 times choose a vaginal over a C-section. The recovery is way more difficult.

I would never ever opt for a c-section unless absolutely necessary. I worked in a hospital for 3 years and I personally had a vaginal delivery. C-sections are major surgeries and are harder to recover from. I rather have a shorter time with a little more pain than weeks of not being able to stand up right or lift things. Plus the increase risk of infections.

I dilated to 10, pushed for 5 hours (I was very stubborn), and ended in c-section. I didn’t actually give birth vaginally, but I wanted to so badly. The pain and exhaustion from pushing for 5 hours and laboring for nearly 2 days was cakewalk compared to my c-section recovery. If I had a choice I would choose a vaginal birth 100%. Plus I hate my scar! My husband likes it because that’s where our son came from, but it really bothers me.

I’ve had 1 c-section and 2 VBACs. 3 very different experiences.
I would say my c-section recovery was an average c-section recovery. Nothing crazy complicated. 
Recovery with my first VBAC was far worse than my c-section. She broke my tailbone on the way out and I had a severe 3rd degree tear/episiotomy.
Recovery with my second VBAC was a breeze. Pushed 2-3 times before she was out, minor second degree tear. Great recovery!
VBAC is ‘vaginal birth after cesarean’ for anyone who doesn’t know.

i’ve only had a c-section, but everything went well and my recovery has been so great i can’t imagine giving birth vaginally. of course i wanted to and was sad in the moment, but i expected so much worse.

I’m terrified of having a c section and would honestly request for them to put me to sleep if it came down to me needing one out of medical necessity 😅 I give major props to c section moms Bc that is honestly my biggest fear. I had an epidural for my vaginal birth and it was still painful but I’d much rather do that than have major surgery.. while awake. 😬
