The girl who lives downstairs from me is clearly being abused. This morning I woke up to the sound of her SO screaming at her and loud thumps coming from their apartment (not sure what that was) I could also hear her screaming and crying.

They have a baby who was also crying (I'm sure he was scared). I should have called the police right then and there but I'm not sure if she has somewhere to go yet alone a backup plan. What should I do the next time this happens ?
