Pampers Vs Huggies?

Question

FTM and I’ve been doing tons of reading  on diapers, between pampers pure or swaddlers and Huggies I just don’t know which is better. 
I love the knowledge behind pampers pure, but some Moms lean towards swaddlers! Then there’s Huggies to consider to! 
I would love to hear your opinion on which brand / type you’ve had the best luck with (Or the worst)! (Posting in 2 groups to get the most information possible!!) 
Feel free to drop hilarious or scary horror stories on certain brands, mentioned or not!

I mostly have used Abby and Finn diapers but couldn’t get their website to work with the recommendation feature. They are a natural diaper which is less expensive than most of the others I’ve tried but you have to order online. I tried lots of different ones that I had received as gifts when my son was a newborn. My favorites for functionality were the Huggies little Snugglers because they have an elastic pocket at the back that kept his poop contained. He always had poop blowouts up the back of his clothes with other diapers. Pampers were the worst in my opinion because they didn’t even have any fathers in the back so his poop always came out the top of the back of the diaper. I felt the pampers pure and pampers swaddlers were identical as far as fit and function, so the only difference there was knowing the pure ones were natural.

Omg I love pampers pure! I first was set on bambo nature after a lot of research but they suck, do not buy them. The amount of chemicals and other nasty stuff in other pampers and huggies is just awful to me and couldnt put those on my baby. They are super absorbent, dont leak, and we have very few blowouts. And they really arent that expensive. You can get them for like 30 cents a diaper or so if you buy then when target does gift card promos. Even cheaper when you can buy the mega packs.

About fit. My chunky baby wore pampers and my skinny baby is wearing huggies. I found pampers pure to have a weird smell despite being free of the not so good chemicals. 
I also like Kirkland (costco) for my huggies replacement as well.

These are by far my favorite brand. They fit my baby so much longer per size compared to pampers. They are so stretchy and soft too. I also love the huggies special delivery because the designs are super cute. I normally buy the huggies little snugglers though. You seem to get more for less money as well with huggies. I picked pampers only because we ended up being converts!! When my LO was a newborn, we were Huggies all the way. I loved the design of the little mesh at the back that helped keep poop in. He actually seemed to be sensitive to pampers at first and would get a little rashy. Well as he got older I switched us to Targets Cloud Island diapers. Loved those as well and were more cost effective. We ended up having to start using pampers swaddlers overnights since he pees a TON while asleep. Well then we started needing to buy diapers all the damn time since Cloud Island only came in packs of 60. We tried Pampers baby dry on a whim since you get 150 in a pack (size 4), now we don’t even need the overnights. And 2 boxes of diapers will last us a good while. Also I kind of like pampers rewards better than huggies rewards. I do not recommend up and up diapers. They used to be better quality, now they suck. Cloud island are pretty nice though.

Target up and ups! So good for the money. We use pampers baby dry overnight after our baby started sleeping through the night though because the up and ups can’t handle a ton of pee, but during the day they do great and if you are changing them during the night still they can handle it.

Huggies are definitely my favorite as far as staying dry the longest. Especially Huggies Sung and Dry diapers. My second daughter pees like crazy and goes through diapers way more than my first did. Pampers just didn’t last near as long as these Huggies. My daughter sleeps all night long and it doesn’t leak, or bother her. They are amazing!
